Announcements
SENA will host a CPR and First Aid Class on on November 3 at the John A. Howe Library. The training is made possible through Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Albany County Department of Health. The American Red Cross will provide the trainers for the class.

First Aid and CPR Class - Saturday November 3rd 10:30AM - 4:00PM Cornell Cooperative Extension is partnering with the South End Neighborhood Association and the John A. Howe Branch of the Albany Public Library to offer this First Aid and CPR class to adults and youth age 11 and older. American Red Cross instructors will facilitate the training, and all who complete it will be certified for two years. The Albany County Department of Health covers the $100 per person training fee, making this class free to all who attend. Space is limited and advanced registration is required by Thursday, October 25th. Please register by calling JoAnn at 518-427-8066 or emailing southendneighborhoodassociation@hotmail.com.

Free Paper Shredding & Book Recycling Event
The City of Albany Department of General Services is sponsoring Free paper shredding and book recycling event at Washington Park (Madison Avenue entrance) on October 20, 2012 from 1pm - 4pm.
Bring personal papers and documents for shredding. Hard and Soft Cover Books will be collected to b recycled.
