Request for approval of the design of the large neon sign. A permit for the sign was issued in error prior to review by the Commission, so the sign already was installed.
2. South End Revitalization Phase 3 – South End/Groesbeckville H.D.

In a continuation of the neighborhood revitalization project that was begun about 5 years ago, the development partnership of Omni Housing Development, LLC, and the Albany Housing Authority is undertaking further work at several sites in the South End. The proposed work includes the following elements: construction of new multifamily buildings in the historic district at 97 Broad Street/110 Fourth Avenue, 13-15 Alexander Street, 65-71 Broad Street, 70-72 Broad Street, and 359-373 South Pearl Street, and adjacent to the district at 338-352 South Pearl Street; and rehabilitation of the buildings at 62, 68, and 72 Morton Avenue. Other approvals, along with review required under the NYS Environmental Quality Review Act, will be required for these projects. The applicants are seeking Commission approval for the proposed designs and for the demolition of the house at 97 Broad Street.
