Climate Justice

Climate Justice Fellow for the past year named Desmond Volmar. He’s born and raised in Albany and graduated last year with his degree in Environmental Science from Russel Sage.

Desmond Volmar a Climate Justice Fellow for the past year with the City of Albany Department of Administrative Services Office of Sustainability. Desmond was born and raised in Albany and graduated last year with his degree in Environmental Science from Russel Sage. His presentation is on climate justice and Albany.

Community Events

The African Heritage Parade. This event celebrates the cultures, nationalities, and contributions of the African diaspora both locally and internationally. Parade will be June 15, 2024, at 10 AM in Albany

We're honoring amazing community members who have and continue to make beneficial contributions to the African diaspora and the greater community. We'll also be marching to the Juneteenth Celebration which will begin when the Parade arrives.
