Join us on February 27 for a presentation from Sameer Ranade, Senior Advisor for Climate Justice at New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), who will share information on the pre-proposal of New York's Cap and Invest program.
Developed jointly by NYSERDA and New York's Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), this program is intended to cap New York's global warming emissions, require large scale polluters to obtain allowances for their emissions, and invest the proceeds the State generates from selling these allowances into programs that support clean energy, affordability, job creation, and climate justice.
DEC and NYSERDA are seeking input on the design of the pre-proposal and Sameer will provide background on it along with information on how to submit public comments.
