Samantha Adkisson 
Social Enterprise and Training Center program for young adults 18-24 who have their HS diploma/GED or are looking to earn their GED but have an affinity for gaming, puzzles, mysteries, etc. We have a coding program we are running out of the Capital South Campus Building on Warren St in Albany where young adults can participate in programming by Albany Can Code & the ATTAIN lab to earn Microsoft suite credentialing and coding basics while getting paid a weekly stipend.

South End Community Collaborative - Reports and action steps related to do development in the South End. 

Housing and Economic Development discussion about the new RFP for consultant to do a new South End plan

Steve Longo will give an overview of the planning process regarding the Albany Housing Authority’s plans for the area around Steamboat Square (the Green Street towers and low rises), that could include some significant new amenities for the community.  In addition there will be information about ideas that came from the December 3 public meeting to get input from the Community on what it would like to see happen in the area— from Morton Avenue to Fourth Avenue, and from Broad Street to the river.


Updates on the Albany County Land Bank’s plans to proceed with development of their “cluster” of vacant lots in the Second Avenue, Teunis and Stephen Street area.

A report on the City of Albany’s plans to initiate a new planning process for the South End.



Department of Environmental Conservation’s air quality in the South End, and specifically at Ezra Prentice Homes.
