Upcoming Albany Elections

2013 is going to be a pivotal election year in Albany. This year 20 public offices representing the City of Albany are up for election. Below is a comprehensive list of the positions and officials in the upcoming primary and general elections. Also included is some information on voter registration and election dates

2013 Registration and Voting Information

Primary Election

Registration Deadline:

·         By mail – voter registration applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, August 16^th, 2013 and received by the Albany County Board of Elections no later than Wednesday, August 21^st, 2013.

·         In person – voter registration applications must be submitted in person and received by the Albany County Board of Elections no later than Friday, August 16^th, 2013 at 4:30 pm.

Election Day and Polling Times:

·         Tuesday, September 10^th, 2013

·         Polls open at 12:00 pm and close at 9:00 pm

General Election

Registration Deadline:

·         By mail – registration applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, October 11^th, 2013 and received by the Albany County Board of Elections no later than Wednesday, October 16^th, 2013.

·         In person – voter registration applications must be submitted in person and received by the Albany County Board of Elections no later than Friday, October 11^th, 2013 at 4:30 pm.

Election Date and Polling Times:

·         Tuesday, November 5^th, 2013

·         Polls open at 6:00 am and close at 9:00 pm
